KidZania Singapore is a role-play “city” on Sentosa where children try out grown-up jobs, from firefighter and pilot to dentist and baker, and earn a pretend currency called kidZos. It is open as at October 2026, at 31 Beach View Road on Sentosa, daily from 10am to 6pm. It is designed for children aged 4 to 17, so it is usually worth it for preschoolers aged about 4 and up, but much less so for babies and toddlers.

Here’s what to expect, what it costs and how to decide whether your child is ready, plus some alternatives for younger children.

How KidZania works

Children arrive at the KidZania “airport” and receive 50 kidZos, the city’s currency. They then choose activities around the city. Some activities pay them kidZos for doing a job, and others cost kidZos, such as making their own snack. The idea is that children learn a little about work, money and teamwork through play.

Activities listed on the official site include a fire station, hospital, dental clinic, police station, bank, supermarket, radio station, cookie factory, pizza academy, construction site, veterinary clinic and aviation academy. There is also a Robotics Lab and a Sustainability Hub. Each activity takes a set amount of time, and popular ones can have queues.

Is KidZania worth it for young kids?

It depends mainly on your child’s age and personality. The role-play format works best when children can follow simple instructions from staff, wait their turn and take part without a parent doing everything for them.

Under 2

Babies aged 0 to 1 enter free, but there’s very little for them to do. Unless you are going for an older sibling, a baby-friendly outing such as a library storytime or a short garden walk will be a better use of your day.

Ages 2 to 3

Toddler tickets are cheaper, and the activity list includes a Baby Gym and a Baby’s Science Lab, which are clearly aimed at younger visitors. Most of the main role-play jobs are designed for older children, though. Toddlers may enjoy watching and trying a few things, but you are paying for a lot they can’t use. It makes most sense when you are already going with an older sibling.

Ages 4 to 6

This is where KidZania starts to make sense. Many 4- to 6-year-olds love dressing up in uniforms and “working”. Shy children may need time to warm up, so pick one or two familiar jobs first, such as firefighter or baker, before trying something new.

We could not confirm the current rules on whether parents can join each activity or leave children on their own, so check with KidZania when you book.

Tickets and prices (as at October 2026)

Ticket Age Price
Baby 0 to 1 Free
Toddler 2 to 3 From S$40.60
Child 4 to 17 From S$84
Adult 18 to 59 From S$51.10
Senior 60 and above Free (conditions apply)

The official site says online tickets are discounted, by up to 50%. That makes buying online in advance worthwhile. For a family of two adults and one child aged 4 or older, budget at least S$186 at the “from” prices before food and transport. Prices vary with the date and promotion, so check the current rate when you book.

Regular visitors can join the B·KidZanian programme. Its PaZZport membership costs S$38 and includes perks such as bonus earnings and merchandise discounts.

Tips for a smoother visit

  • Register selfies for check-in before you leave home. Doing it in the queue with a restless child is no fun.
  • Arrive at opening time. Queues for popular jobs build up through the day, especially on weekends and school holidays.
  • Plan for three to four hours, not a full day, for a preschooler. Leave while they are still having fun.
  • Let your child choose. Two activities they love beat six they were rushed through.
  • Bring a change of clothes and wipes for food-making activities, plus a water bottle.
  • Factor in getting to Sentosa. Add travel time and transport costs, and avoid peak times if you have a stroller.

KidZania birthday parties

KidZania offers birthday party packages. Its current promotion lets the birthday child enter free with every 10 paying guests, as long as the birthday falls within seven days of the visit and you show photo ID. Package prices aren’t published, so you will need to contact KidZania for a quote. Our kids’ birthday party venue guide compares other options.

Alternatives for younger children

If your child is under 4, or you want something cheaper, these give similar hands-on fun:

  • KidsSTOP at Science Centre Singapore is designed for children aged 8 and below. See our Science Centre guide.
  • Indoor playgrounds with toddler zones are great for active play on rainy days. See our indoor playgrounds guide.
  • Pretend play at home with a toy kitchen, doctor kit or shop costs little and builds the same imaginative skills.
  • Public libraries run free storytimes and have play-based children’s zones.

The bottom line

  • KidZania Singapore is operating on Sentosa as at October 2026, daily from 10am to 6pm.
  • It is designed for ages 4 to 17. It’s best value for children aged about 4 and up who enjoy pretend play.
  • Toddlers have a few activities but get far less out of it, and babies enter free.
  • Buy tickets online for discounts, arrive early and plan a half-day visit.
