Sleeping better in pregnancy
From 28 weeks, going to sleep on your side is recommended, and the right pillow makes it much easier. Our round-up of the best maternity pillows in Singapore compares U, C, J and wedge shapes, with breathable options for hot nights and small HDB bedrooms. For the bigger picture, read our third trimester guide and our tips on pregnancy back pain relief.
Breastfeeding and pumping comfort
A soft, well-fitted bra makes a real difference when your breasts are changing daily. Our guide to the best nursing bras covers sizing, sleep bras and hands-free pumping bras from brands sold here. If you plan to express milk, pair it with our best breast pumps round-up and the breastfeeding guide for new mums.
How we pick
We only recommend products we can confirm are sold in Singapore, with typical local prices, and we favour breathable, washable options that suit our climate and small HDB homes. Where we can, we point you to stores such as Mothercare and Motherswork so you can check the size and feel before you buy. Every pick lists its trade-offs, and no brand pays to be included. More mum-focused advice is in our Mummy section.

When should I buy a pregnancy pillow and nursing bras?

Many mums buy a pregnancy pillow in the second trimester when sleep gets uncomfortable. Nursing bras are best bought around 36 weeks, starting with one or two stretchy styles.

Do I need a nursing pillow as well as a pregnancy pillow?

Not always. Some long, mouldable pregnancy pillows double as feeding supports, which saves buying both. Never let your baby sleep on either.
