In this guide
The main baby stores in Singapore are Mothercare and Kiddy Palace for one-stop mall shopping, Motherswork for premium brands, Baby Kingdom for big-ticket gear at its Kaki Bukit store, IKEA for nursery furniture, and FairPrice, Guardian and Watsons for diapers, wipes and toiletries. Online, Pupsik, Shopee, Lazada and Amazon.sg cover almost everything, often with next-day delivery. Many parents also stock up at baby fairs such as Mummys Market at Singapore Expo.
We have not ranked these baby shops, because the best place depends on what you are buying. Instead, this guide explains what each is good for, where to find them (store lists checked on their official websites in October 2026), and how to shop smart. One-stop baby stores in malls
Mothercare
Mothercare is the classic first stop for many parents-to-be, with clothing, prams, car seats, nursery furniture, feeding and bath gear under one roof. Its Singapore stores are at Paragon, Plaza Singapura, Marina Square, Parkway Parade and Northpoint City, plus two shops at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (one for fashion and one for home and travel), handy if you are having antenatal check-ups there. It also sells online with free delivery above a minimum spend.
Kiddy Palace
Kiddy Palace is a long-running Singapore chain with outlets close to where many families live: Bedok Mall, Causeway Point, Jurong Point, Marina Square, NEX, Northpoint City, Toa Payoh HDB Hub, Westgate, Waterway Point and White Sands. It is a practical place for feeding bottles, breast pump parts, toiletries, toys and everyday top-ups, and also stocks strollers, car seats and carriers. The Toa Payoh outlet has an indoor playland, useful once you have a toddler in tow.
Premium and specialist baby shops
Motherswork
Motherswork focuses on premium international brands, including Bugaboo, Doona, Joolz, BeSafe and Clek for prams and car seats, plus feeding, toys and baby care. Its Singapore stores are at Great World and Tanglin Mall, and it sells online. It is a good place to try premium strollers in person and compare how they fold, before you decide. Our best strollers guide can help you shortlist.
Baby Kingdom
Baby Kingdom stocks more than 50 brands, including Joie, Nuna, Chicco and Boori, and is especially known for big-ticket items: strollers, car seats, cots and mattresses. It has a physical store in an industrial building in Kaki Bukit as well as an online shop, so it is worth a dedicated trip if you are buying several large items at once.
Pupsik
Pupsik (pupsik.sg, previously known as Pupsik Studio) is an online baby and maternity store popular for nursing gear: breast pumps, milk storage, nursing wear and carriers, alongside bath, feeding and nursery products from brands such as Medela, Ergobaby and Skip Hop. It regularly runs bundle deals and free-gift promotions, so check before buying a pump elsewhere.
Nursery furniture: IKEA and beyond
IKEA has three Singapore stores, at Alexandra, Tampines and Jurong, plus online ordering and delivery. It is a budget-friendly option for cots, changing units, storage, children’s furniture, textiles and soft toys,. Assemble furniture carefully, use the wall anchors provided for drawers and wardrobes, and check that any cot mattress fits snugly with no gaps.
For more choice, Mothercare, Motherswork and Baby Kingdom also sell cots and nursery sets. Whichever you buy, choose a cot that meets a recognised safety standard and keep it free of pillows, bumpers and soft toys.
Diapers, wipes and everyday consumables
For the things you will buy every week, convenience and price matter more than brand experience.
- FairPrice supermarkets and FairPrice online stock diapers, wipes, formula and baby food, and often run multi-pack deals.
- Guardian and Watsons pharmacies are useful for nappy rash creams, baby wash, thermometers, nasal aspirators and other health items, often with a pharmacist on hand to ask.
- Online subscriptions and bulk buys on Shopee, Lazada and Amazon.sg save carrying heavy diaper packs home from the shops.
Before bulk-buying, try a small pack first, as babies outgrow sizes quickly and some react to particular brands. Our best diapers guide compares the popular options.
Shopping online and smart buying tips
Shopee, Lazada and Amazon.sg
Online marketplaces are where many Singapore parents end up buying most of their baby gear, thanks to frequent sales and fast delivery. To shop safely:
- Buy from official stores. Look for brand flagship stores in Shopee Mall and LazMall, or items sold by Amazon.sg itself, especially for car seats, breast pumps, bottles and formula.
- Check the warranty. Items sold through official local distributors usually come with a local warranty; parallel imports may not.
- Check safety labels. Car seats must carry an approved standard such as ECE R129 or R44; see our infant car seat guide.
- Compare with the mall price. Big mega-sale dates are not always the cheapest for every item.
Smart shopping tips for Singapore parents
- Buy the essentials first. A car seat, a safe place to sleep, feeding basics, diapers and a few outfits are enough for the first weeks. Our hospital bag checklist covers what you need for the birth.
- Think about your space. In an HDB flat, a compact cot and a stroller that fits your lift and car boot matter more than features.
- Try before you buy for big items. Push the pram, fold it, and lift it into your car.
- Keep receipts and boxes until you are sure an item works for you.
- Accept hand-me-downs for clothes and toys; babies outgrow them fast.
Baby fairs: are they worth it?
Baby fairs bring dozens of brands under one roof, with bundle deals, free gifts and the chance to try prams and carriers side by side. Mummys Market, which has run baby fairs in Singapore since 2012, holds its expos at Singapore Expo, near Expo MRT station. Dates change from year to year, so check its website for the next fair.
Tips for making a fair worthwhile:
- Go with a list and a budget, and research prices online beforehand so you can recognise a real deal.
- Go early on a weekday if you can, as weekends are crowded.
- Bring a foldable trolley or plan for delivery of bulky items.
- Ask about warranty and where to get servicing before you pay.
- Do not feel pressured to buy everything in one go. Many items can wait until you know what your baby actually needs.
The bottom line
Mothercare and Kiddy Palace cover most needs in malls across Singapore, Motherswork and Baby Kingdom are worth a visit for premium or big-ticket gear, IKEA is good value for nursery furniture, and FairPrice, Guardian and Watsons handle everyday top-ups. Online, stick to official stores and check warranties and safety labels. Browse more of our best picks to decide what to buy.
Where is the best place to buy baby stuff in Singapore?
It depends on the item. Mothercare and Kiddy Palace are convenient one-stop shops, Motherswork and Baby Kingdom are good for prams and car seats, IKEA for nursery furniture, and supermarkets, pharmacies and online marketplaces for diapers and wipes.
Is it cheaper to buy baby items online in Singapore?
Often, especially during Shopee, Lazada and Amazon.sg sales and for bulk consumables. But compare with store and baby fair prices, and buy from official stores to get a local warranty.
When should I start buying baby things?
Many parents start in the second trimester and aim to have the essentials, including a car seat, ready by about 36 weeks. Spreading purchases out also lets you catch sales and baby fairs.
Is there a Mothercare at KK Hospital?
Yes. Mothercare has two shops at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital on Bukit Timah Road, one for fashion and one for home and travel items, according to its store list.
